Umi and mixed sashimi is really fresh it's like tasting the ocean (really good umi) We had to order another. The service was really attentive to our needs. The atmosphere is almost perfect, music needs tuning, but otherwise great

Update: service massively improved and their salads are much better with fresh crunchy lettuce greens. Menu was simplified and dish presentations were upgraded. Very good! ‐----------- Had the seaweed salad, spicy salmon salad, salmon sashimi, salmon bento box and topped off with the coffeejelly dessert. The food was good but when you price at the top end of casual, I was expecting more than good, not just good. Salmon sashimi was thick & creamy to the bite but lacked the freshness and taste. Unfortunately had to use the calamansi, soysauce and wasabi to get some flavor. Would've rather seen a slice of lemon at this price range. Seaweed salad was ok but you get very little seaweed and alot of cheap palengke lettuce. And atsara, pickled radish. Spicy salmon salad was good, had a sizeable portion of salmon on a bed of unremarkable palengke lettuce. The salmon belly bento box cost P500+ and you get a complete meal consisting of sidings of thincut cabbage, steamed vegetables with shiitake mushrooms, few pickled carrots, some spicy salmon, rice, grilled salmon and a small coffeejelly dessert serving. Was it good? Guess so. Was it great? Nah. I think the salmon couldve been bigger. Or even if there was higher quality Japanese rice. Or better quality vegetables and lettuce, then I'd feel P500 was worth it. The coffeejelly dessert was good, had a scoop of vanilla icecream. Good for 2. Paid 2300 for lunch for 2 including a service charge but I found the service mediocre and not worthy of the mandatory charge. I'd tip if the service was good, but thats what happens when restos impose mandatory service charges, the incentive to offer good service goes away. Would I come back here? Probably not. Loads of other, better Jap restos to hit up.

Hmm.. the food was ok. Sauces overpowering. It can be described as too much. However! It was not a bad too much. It was delicious actually. Place is clean and neat which gives a nice casual feel with a sense of refinement to it in a minimalist sense. Overall I was satisfied even if there was too much sauce on the maki I order. From right to left of pic Seared tuna, Musashi, Salmon aburi. Personal opinion Not bad and I've tried many sushi places in Phil, US, and Japan

The food was really good and affordable. The place was clean and had a relaxing vibe. We tried the tonkatsu and shoyu ramen, spicy tuna maki, tuna and mackerel sashimi and pork tonkatsu. The sushi and sashimi were fresh, the pork tonkatsu was crispy, and the ramen was tasty. Overall, the food was delicious, the staff were nice, and we would love to eat there again!

If you’re in Clark (or passing by) and craving Japanese food without wanting to splurge too heavily, Chef Samurai Clark is a solid choice. It may not beat specialty or high-end Japanese restaurants in every category (especially ramen), but it delivers good sushi/sashimi, pleasant ambiance, and generally strong value. For best results, go earlier in the evening (less rushed service) and try their signature dishes.

In terms of both appearance and taste, the food was really up to expectations. However, I do think the food was a bit overseasoned and was too much in flavor but not too much to stop a refreshing drink from cleansing the palate and fix the said issue. Overall, the experience is overall good.
